Rewind, Repeat Podcast

Time to wrap it up.

Too long didn't listen:

- I say thank you a lot.

- Dribble about what it's been like the last year and a half and what I've learned and how I've grown.

- I forget to mention a lot of important people no doubt.

- Talk about what I'm doing creatively now.

- Continued dribble.

16:40 is where the music kicks in.

New music from Zulu/Madura Green/Facecutter/Closed Off/Change/Grenade Jumper/King Brown/Wishful Thinking/Gold Stars.

And finally we we get an archive update from Rob at the Lair.

Closing the podcast with an homage to Riley Gale and Wade Allison.

Power Trip "Hammer Of Doubt" and Iron Age "Evil Ways".

Stay safe, peace out.

Episode 60 sees the traditional every-20-episode return of Aaron Osborne with a twist. We're doing a Rewind, Repeat episode in Oblivious Maximus format.

Oblivious Maximus breaks down a single record of the guests choice, and Aaron has chosen "Broken Glass" by Crowbar.

If you enjoyed the poor mans version of the format then go check out OM! My personal favourite so far is the Callum Preston episode discussing the blue album by Weezer.

Hey gang,

As you can imagine not a lot to report right now so this is an interview-only episode with the big cheese Graham Nixon from Resist Records.

We go into detail about his pathway to finding hardcore, straight edge, the early days of the label to signing parkway drive to now and lots inbetween. Enjoy!

Things are a little slow at the moment so I've taken a leaf out of Dani's (From The Hips Podcast) book and brought in guest host and reoccurring guest Aaron Osborne (Oblivious Maximus Podcast) to do the introduction I never really took the time to do.

I gotta say it's much harder being a guest than I thought and it made me appreciate how great my guests have been even more.

An insight into how music has played into different periods of my life, straight edge, playing in bands, starting this podcast and more.

A big thanks to Aaron for taking the reins on this one.

But before we get into that we get an earful of some new songs by Ratking and Fever Shack.

The draft squad returns for a rambler!

Graham (Resist Records), Willy (Rest Assured Zine/Common Bond Records) and Footy (Clarity Records/Stolen Youth) are back on answering your submitted questions, topics and more along with the expected back and forth between these old friends. Sadly we couldn't get Abordi in on this one but he was with us in spirit and his answers to some of the questions will be covered next episode.

Iconic Australian hardcore vego spots, predictions of what things will look like on the other side of the rona, what the best Abordi band was and more.

Congratulations to @skuzlebut for winning the Common Bond Records Bookmark comp! DM me your address and I'll post them off to you.

Haven't had much luck recently getting responses to interviews but didn't want to leave all this new music unplayed.

So we're gonna spin songs in their entirety.

You'll get an earful of new songs from Paradise Club, Warcycle, Sports Car, Crosscheck, Fever Shack and Throwaway.

We also check in with Rob from Life.Lair.Regret. Records in an instalment of "archive update" and we get some scoops on the United Forces raffle they just wrapped up as well as an upcoming ABC documentary featuring The Lair and other AusHC faces.

It's a listening party!

The listening parties aren't the most popular episode content but one of the main focuses of this pod will always be to shed light on bands/labels releasing stuff so I hope someone somewhere finds something new!

Spinning the releases (that I'm aware of) that have come out since around late march when the rona took off radio-style.

Warpath/Dire/Sunbeams and Rockets/Speed/The Lizards/Crosscheck/In Deception/Psalm and lots more.

A few plugs at the start including an upcoming show!

Enjoy!

Episode 52 continues the discussion around the Black Lives Matter movement in Australia with a new voice. Ash Bennet (Spitn Nailz) discusses what he has observed over the past month, how its affected him and shares some insight on behaviour changes in response to casual racism in everyday life.

This podcast is recorded on Whadjuk country.
