As we move back through Romans to discover how they got to be where we want to be, we find that the beautiful picture of teamwork we saw in chapter 16 and the end of chapter 15 can be sabotaged by division that creeps into the church. We look at how the Apostle Paul dealt with some issues that were coming between Jewish and Gentile believers and why that was such a big deal for the church in Rome at that time. In chapters 14 and 15 we see not only the wisdom God gave Paul for that situation, but the timeless principles that help any family of believers to stay united in Christ and resist the natural drift and spiritual attack that creates division.
