          • I’m running 6 to 7 feed
          • 12 to 13 amps

          • Run the cable
            • When possible hook up to the battery
            • Use the cable retainers in the engine compartment
            • Use wire ties, Velcro straps, even bread ties

            • Keep the wire off of the engine and other hotspots
            • Passenger compartment
              • Look for feed throughs in the firewall
              • Make sure you seal around grommets
              • If you have to drill try to use grommets
              • Look for other access points
              • Beef up bends around corners

              • Most Power Cables are now standardized
              • Find ways to make the best connections possible
              • Remember connector create resistance
              • make sure you have fuses in line so you don’t kill your radio
              • Make sure you have a plan
              • Watch for capillary effect on stranded wire and coax (Seal It)
              • inspect power leads often, the fluids used in car engines and other systems will cause wire insulation to degrade
