We show a simple method for how to encounter Jesus to root out any false identities and exchange them for God’s truth about who he really created us to be. ➡️ Our thoughts shape our beliefs, and our beliefs govern our behavior. If the enemy has convinced us to agree with any of his lies, we are not going to be free to flourish in the life God has designed for us. 

In this week’s podcast, we share four simple steps to exchange lies for God’s truth through an encounter with Jesus.

In order to come out of agreements you have made with the enemy, you need to be led by the Holy Spirit to root out the lies. Setup a listening prayer session by laying down your burdens, submitting to God and resisting the enemy. (There is a session in the Rhema NOW app for this) Now, go through this process to exchange the lies for God’s truth:

1. Ask God to show you the lies you are believing

2. Ask God for his truth he wants to give you in exchange for the lies

3. Verbally renounce each of the lies and receive/agree with God’s truth

4. Ask God to bring his healing to those areas in your heart

Bonus step: Ask God when was the first time you entered into that agreement, and pray through forgiveness prayer to heal the pain along with exchanging the lies for God’s truth!

God has created us as humans in his image with a great capacity to love. In the same measure, we also have the capacity to be hurt, and in a fallen world with other flawed humans in the mix, we are almost guaranteed to end up with some hurts and wounds in our hearts. Whether from words, actions, or circumstances, our hearts really take a beating.

The good news is that through the power of true forgiveness and an encounter with Jesus, not only can we be released from the bondage of bitterness, but we can also be completely healed from the inside out and have no more pain associated with the memory of the event that caused the hurt. 

In this week’s podcast, we share four simple steps to move from pain to healing through an encounter with Jesus.

1. Ask God for help: “Who or what do I need to forgive?”

2. Pray to forgive

3. Ask for healing through an encounter: “Jesus, what would you say or show me to bring peace to the pain I feel?”

4. Deal with any lies or agreements made with the enemy

In this episode, we talk about the genesis of God's original design for mankind. It's important for us to understand what it was like, that God talked with Adam and Eve every day so they lived in connection, union, and partnership. What changed when sin entered the world? The sad truth is sin broke relationship and connection with God, which ultimately leads to death. We see it in the world all around us, and yet there is a redemption story in play. God sacrificed everything to make it possible for us to re-establish relationship and connection with him through Jesus. The question is, do we realize the magnitude of what is available to us in Christ? Are we living in full connection, communication, and partnership with the spirit of God every day of our lives? The veil was torn, but sadly we put up our own veils instead. The enemy lies to us to keep us hiding in our own belief systems that hold us back from engaging with the living God who speaks! But that doesn't have to be our story. We can boldly enter the throne of grace and access our full inheritance of vibrant, active relationship with God in all areas of our lives. We can encounter Jesus every day to partner with him and experience his goodness and love towards us in all that we do.
