Our first foray into the Kelly Lynch extended universe is rather grim, which is surprising given the amount of neon lights and kitschy 80s tropes in this Tom Cruise vehicle, Cocktail (1988). Cruise has described it as "not my crowning jewel", and it would be hard to disagree. Still, attention must be paid and we will see what tasty flavors, if any, we can extract from this monument to materialism.
