Sisters Doing Life Together

Rhonda Chandler: Empowering Black and Brown Girls

Listen Later

Have you ever asked the question, "what is my purpose?"  Well, that's the question that Rhonda Chandler also asked until she encountered a problem to which she became the solution. What she discovered was that her purpose was empowering black and brown girls, including her daughters, who were experiencing bullying and racism within their schools and community in Wisconsin.

During this episode, Rhonda shared how an interest group meeting in her home eventually led to her founding her faith based nonprofit organization, Lovin The Skin I'm In, because she wants young girls to know that they are enough, loved, and valued while also focusing on sisterhood.
