Today we are in the presence of country music royalty, plain and simple--Rhonda Vincent.
Rhonda started her music career as a child of 5 in a family band called The Sally Mountain Show, a bluegrass band, in Greentop, MO. She learned to play a few instruments, becoming a world class player—especially on the mandolin.
She is best known as a bluegrass player--in fact known in music circles as the “Queen of Bluegrass”. And her many awards in that domain back up her nickname: to date, Rhonda (and her band) have won 1 Grammy and 19 IMBA (International Bluegrass Music Association) Entertainer of the Year awards—a record.
But, maybe the most special acknowledgment of her greatness was the Feb 28, 2020 invitation to be a Member of the Grand Ole Opry. It just don’t get any better than that.
