  • Discovering Purpose Through Values

What if your values can help you discover purpose in a season when the path ahead isn't clear?

Transitions often bring opportunities to reconsider what matters most. The things that once worked for us may no longer fit the season we are entering. This can be uncomfortable—but it can also be an invitation to listen more deeply.

In this episode, we’ll explore how our core values can provide direction during transition. Values don’t necessarily tell us exactly what job to take, where to live, or what decision to make. Instead, they can help us recognize what feels meaningful and life-giving as we consider our next steps.

Take some time to listen, reflect, and notice what matters most to you in this season.

  • Purpose Beyond a Role

Sometimes we connect our purpose so closely to what we do that when our role changes, we wonder if our purpose has changed too.

A career. A ministry position. Parenting. Leadership. Being a caregiver. Serving others. These roles can become such an important part of our identity that letting go of them can leave us wondering, “Who am I now?”

In this episode, we’ll explore the idea that your purpose is bigger than any single role you hold. Roles may change throughout our lives, but there can be something deeper that continues to guide us.

As we move through transition, we can begin asking not only, “What am I supposed to do?” but also, “Who am I becoming, and what matters to me in this season?”

  • When Purpose Feels Unclear

What happens when you find yourself asking, “What am I supposed to do now?”

Transitions can shake our sense of purpose. A job ends, a ministry changes, children leave home, we relocate, a relationship shifts, or a dream doesn’t unfold the way we expected. Suddenly, the role that once gave us direction may no longer fit.

In this episode, we begin exploring purpose in the midst of transition. We’ll talk about the difference between purpose and a particular role, and what it can look like to continue moving forward when you don’t have all the answers.

If your purpose feels unclear right now, you’re not alone. Sometimes purpose becomes clearer not by having everything figured out, but by paying attention to what matters and taking the next small step.

  • Living the New Rhythm

What if transition doesn't end with a clear finish line?

We often expect a new job, a move, a retirement, a relationship, or some other milestone to tell us, “You're there. You've arrived.”

But many transitions don't end with an announcement. They shift quietly, gradually, sometimes so slowly that we only recognize the change when we look back.

As we close Season 7, we'll reflect on what it means to live the new rhythm rather than simply reach the end of a transition.

We'll look back at identity, purpose, boundaries, margin, and values—and consider what we've learned about ourselves along the way.

And most of all, I want to remind you:

    You are not behind.

You don't have to rush your becoming.

There is grace for the in-between, grace for the questions, and grace for the places where you're still finding your footing.

  • When the Threads Meet

    Identity. Purpose. Boundaries. Margin. Values.

We've spent this season looking at each of these pieces of transition, but real life doesn't neatly separate them.

    They overlap.

    They weave together.

    Sometimes they become tangled.

In this episode, we'll step back and look at what happens when these five threads meet in the middle of an actual life transition.

You may discover that the question you're asking isn't really about purpose—or boundaries—or identity alone. There may be several threads asking for your attention at the same time.

You don't have to untangle everything at once.

Sometimes the first step is simply noticing:

Which thread is loudest right now?

  • The Compass When the Map Runs Out

There are seasons when we simply don't have enough information to know what comes next.

We want the map. We want certainty. We want to know which choice will turn out best.

But sometimes the map runs out.

That's when our core values can become a compass.

In this episode, we'll explore how knowing what matters most can help us make decisions when there isn't a clear right answer. We'll move beyond simply naming our values and consider what those values actually look like in the choices we make.

You may not know exactly where the road is going.

But perhaps you already have a compass.

  • Making Room to Notice

What if you're not stuck? What if you simply don't have enough space to notice what is happening within you?

    Transition takes room.

Yet so often, when life feels uncertain, we fill every available space with activity, responsibilities, noise, or the next thing on our list.

In this episode, we talk about margin—creating space to breathe, listen, process, and notice.

Sometimes we don't need another answer. We need a little more room.

I'll invite you to look at your own calendar and consider whether you've created enough space for your transition to breathe.

What might you notice if you stopped long enough to listen?

  • The Shape That Protects the Change

We often think of boundaries as saying no to other people. But what if boundaries can also be about protecting what is beginning to grow in us?

Transitions can leave us vulnerable to doubt, other people's expectations, and the temptation to return to what is familiar simply because it feels safe.

In this episode, we'll explore how boundaries can give us the space we need to grow into something new. We'll look at the boundaries around revisiting decisions, other people's timelines, and our desire to prove ourselves.

Sometimes a boundary is like a fence around a young plant—not because it will always need protection, but because right now, it's establishing roots.

  • What's Actually Yours to Carry

Have you ever stopped to wonder whether the purpose you're pursuing is actually yours?

Sometimes we spend years carrying expectations, responsibilities, dreams, and definitions of success that we picked up along the way. They may have come from our families, our culture, our careers, our ministry, or simply our desire to be needed.

In this episode, we slow down and ask a different question—not just “What is my purpose?” but “What am I carrying that is actually mine?”

If you're feeling a little lost or purposeless in transition, perhaps you aren't without purpose. Perhaps you're simply mid-sort, discovering what you're ready to carry forward and what you're ready to set down.

  • The Ground Beneath the Change

What happens when a role, title, relationship, or familiar way of life changes—and suddenly you find yourself asking, Who am I now?

In this episode, we begin exploring identity in transition. We’ll look at how easily we can connect who we are with what we do, and what happens when that role changes or disappears.

Together, we’ll slow down and notice what remains underneath the titles and circumstances.

If you're in a season where you’re trying to find your footing and wondering who you are becoming, this conversation is for you.

You don't have to have the next chapter figured out to begin discovering who you are in this one.
