Rich Homie Quan, whose real name was Dequantes Devontay Lamar, was an Atlanta-based rapper who rose to fame with his 2013 trap hit "Type of Way". The song reached number 50 on the Billboard Hot 100. His 2015 single "Flex" also achieved success, charting at number 26. Quan's career began in 2010 and he was known for creating street anthems.
