Richard is an alumnus of San Jose State University, with a master’s degree in microbiology. His studies also emphasized molecular biology and biochemistry. Richard authored the book "The Evolution of Life: Big Bang to Space Colonies", which offers offers a dramatic understanding of this event, the creation of matter, how life evolved on Earth, and the wondrous extraterrestrial future that awaits us as a species, as societies, and as communities.
