Preparations are still underway for a historic meeting between Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump.
US officials have crossed into North Korea to hold talks on preparations for next month's planned summit in Singapore.
The latest moves come despite Trump supposedly cancelling the talks last week.
US correspondent Richard Arnold told Mike Hosking it also follows another meeting between Kim and South Korean president Moon Jae-in.
"There they were hugging again and talking about trying to narrow the gap between Pyongyang and Washington. This is the on again phase. You might not have expected this last week."
However, scepticism is mounting in the United States, over the chances of North Korea agreeing to peace.
Arnold says the on-again, off-again process is wearing thin, even among members of Trump's own party.
"Republican Senator Marco Rubio has says he is convinced the North Korean leader does not want to denuclearise, that this is all a show."
