Dr. Richard Chu is a Five College Professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he specializes in teaching Asian-American history and the Chinese diaspora. He is also the author of best-selling books "Chinese and Chinese Mestizos of Manila" and "More Tsinoy Than We Admit."

He joins the show to talk about his offbeaten career of being a cultural historian, Chinese-Filipino discrimination and its origins, and how his life experiences led him to choose a career in the arts than in business.
