Dick Powell as Richard Diamond. A cold, icy day finds Richard indoors, enjoying a nap in his cozy office, until it’s interrupted by Abel Gunther. The old man can’t pay the standard rates, but his story is compelling enough to lure the hard boiled detective into the complications at his farm.
