Richard III crowned, Richard the Lionheart becomes King and Lady Jane Grey is pronounced Queen

In this episode of 'This Week in British History' - 

👑 6th July 1189 - Richard the Lionheart becomes king of England following the death of his father Henry II. He spent about 6 months of his 10 year reign in England. 

🤴 👸 6th July 1483 - Richard III and his wife Anne Neville have their joint coronation at Westminster Abbey. 

⚰️ 👑 6th July 1553 - Edward VI dies and is succeeded by Queen Jane, otherwise known as Lady Jane Grey. 

🔒 9th July 1553 - Jane Grey is proclaimed Queen. Nine days later Mary is proclaimed Queen and Jane is kept at the Tower of London, where she had gone in preparation for her coronation. She was executed the following February after the failed Wyatt Rebellion made Mary I acutely aware that Jane would be a potential figurehead for any Protestant Rebellion against her.  Also, in 1996 the Spice Girls a UK Pop Group released their first single ‘Wannabe’ which became an instant hit.
