Welcome to Richmond Uniting’s Worship for Sunday 14 June.
We are currently not worshipping as a gathered community due to the COVID–19 pandemic – but we are still worshipping together in new ways. This audio recording can be used for worship at home, along with prayer resources and bible readings for 14 June available on the Richmond Unting Church website . You can listen to this with others or on your own.
This week, our first Sunday in ‘ordinary time’, we are invited to explore Matthew 9.35-10.23 and enter deeply into what this passage says about the core business of being a follower of Jesus. We also investigate what this passage does not say about being a follower of Jesus (hint - it is not about being nice). Throughout this worship we also explore the ways in which Christianity has been literally 'white washed' and what kind of disruptive and liberating anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-prejudiced life we are called into.
