Rick's messages target those groups hit hard by the pandemic; Small Businesses and those trying to improve success and happiness.

In 1987, after getting one of the lowest grades on his first MBA exam, Rick developed his purpose statement. The Purpose statement read in part:

"I will strive for and share the benefits of Continuous Improvement in my life, my families, and those in my circle of influence."

That Purpose statement helped him to become the youngest hire into a 30 person Continuous Improvement consulting company. Over 32 years, Rick helped grow that company into a well recognized 230 person Continuous improvement company.

He retired in 2017, as the COO of the Americas and the second largest shareholder.

Living by his Purpose statement, Rick has achieved success in all areas of his life. Rick has run 14 marathons including qualifying and running in the 2003 Boston Marathon.

Together with his family, he recently climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa. He loves striving for peak performance in order to accomplish his financial, spiritual, relationship and physical goals.

In 2006, he added an additional line on his purpose statement to more fully reflect his learnings on how to find success and happiness. "I desire to live Continuous Improvement with a spirit of love, acceptance, and compassion for others and myself." Many authors talk about the importance of manifestations and intentionality for success. Many authors talk about the importance of mindfulness and staying present for daily happiness. Rick integrated both ideas in a integrated performance improvement system to be productive and happy.

After retiring in 2017, he started an on-line coaching company, CI4life (Continuous Improvement 4 Life), to help others achieve their personal and professional goals and dreams. Go to www.ci4life.org for more details and insights.

Rick conducted a research study consisting of 1,400 participants from several different countries to determine key success factors for living a happy and productive life. Spoiler alert: The habits of the happiest and most productive are: 1. Regular exercise 2. Daily Planning and 3. Regular service.

In his on-line Video-based training course for small business: "Crush Your Goals for small business" he teaches small business owners/leaders how to improve their business performance by 20%.
