On November 6th, 1997, 13-year-old Ricky Lane Thomas, Jr. was going to walk the mile and a half to his cousin’s house in Bristow, Indiana, to go to Tell City to go shopping and get McDonald's. He never made it to his cousin’s house and was never seen again.
