Neighbor’s Table | Transformative Justice

Ricky Torres | Ex Gang Member | Formerly Incarcerated | Story of Change

Listen Later

Ricky grew up in Northern California during an era of gang warfare. His life was intense, repeatedly leading to prison sentences and years of pain. Ricky shares of how he went from looking at a 100 year sentence, to now being a free man. His story is one that testifies to the truth that change is possible, and that healing can be found in the person of Jesus.

Neighbor's Table Podcast aims to facilitate restorative conversation around the realities of criminal justice and mass incarceration. Our prayer is that the church in America would know how to enter into these conversations, and that movement would start with listening to our neighbors. Something powerful happens when people listen to one another. We hope that love of neighbor leads to advocacy for those that society overlooks.

We offer a full day Liminal Learning experience that walks through the history of the criminal justice system, juxtaposed to the restorative justice model of Jesus.
