As we come to this final chapter of Jonah we’re reminded of how ridiculous we can be and how ridiculous God’s love is for us! Jonah’s pouting because God didn’t kill the Ninevites! What? How ridiculous, right? And yet, we’re looking in a mirror on this one. We’re often petty and pouty and well...ridiculous. And yet, our wonderful God seeks us and disciplines us and makes us better. Why? Well, because He is crazy in love with us in spite of all our weird ways. And because, He’s chosen to be involved in a ridiculously wonderful and ridiculously deep relationship with us both now and forever.
