Ridin With Biden

Listen Later

On this episode I sit down and discuss the progressive point of view with Kingblackprogressive.  He runs an instagram page bringing attention to black beauty in all forms and progressive issues.  He articulates his views of voting for Biden well, while explaining his progressive philosophy.

In this episode I talk about the economic "boom" for the black community after slavery.  Obviously this is in relation to having no economy before, and in the context of just being freed from slavery.  After listening to the episode I realized that it could be taken out of context.  Black people have never (by the numbers of whole groups of people and not individual accounts) been equal to white people economically in the United States. If you click the link below there is a study that shows the 96-97% workplace involvement of the black community in the early 1900's as opposed to the 77% rate today.  It does a really good job of explaining the complexities of the  black economic disadvantage over time.
