Alex trained as a Unitarian service leader, and contributed a chapter on the environment and eco-spirituality to 'Living With Integrity: Unitarian Values and Beliefs in Practice. He lives with several chronic illnesses, including CFS/ME, and was diagnosed as autistic at age 48, which he persists in calling midlife.
