"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to all people" (Proverbs 14:34). There are two sides to this proverb: righteousness and sin. There is freedom that leads to righteousness and there is freedom that leads to sin. Freedom is not neutral.

The Declaration of Independence July 4, 1776 states that all men are "endowed by their Creator" In other words, God has gifted humanity with a portion of the very image of God. Yes, we have made our mistakes. But the one thing that has allowed correction back to God's image has been an adherence to the basic Judeo-Christian standards. Our endowment of the image of God will be at risk if we fail to acknowledge the source of the ethical foundation of our nation. Please pray for a revival and/or a Great Awakening to spread across our nation. This would indeed be a gift from God.
