Welcome to Day 2 of our powerful Restoration Series within the Commanding the Year 2025 podcast! Today, we explore the profound truth of believing in God beyond our present circumstances. Reflecting on passages like 2 Chronicles 20, Genesis 1:2, and Mark 11:23, we discuss the importance of not using physical situations as a basis for our faith. Instead, we are called to believe in God for things greater than what our environment may suggest.
In a world where physical circumstances can feel overwhelming, it is vital to keep our faith anchored in the Word of God. Never let the current realities dictate your belief; instead, aim to trust God for breakthroughs that surpass your environment.
Psalm 126:4 speaks of "turning again," a concept that signifies refreshing, restoring, reversing, and making a change in fate. God offers us faith to live in Christ Jesus, not fate, which is often a product of man's ideology influenced by the devil. John 10:10 reminds us that the best fate can offer is a status quo—a mess. However, God specializes in changing our fate, and we counter fate with the faith of God.
God provides us with faith—not to succumb to fate, which is merely a construct rooted in human ideology and the enemy’s deception (as highlighted in John 10:10). While fate may offer a dismal status quo, God specializes in altering our destinies. As children of God, we have the power to counter fate with His faith and live a life imbued with His purpose.
Living by faith means understanding that captivity often befalls those who are unaware of its cause or are not responsible for it. Hence, we recognize that many find themselves in captivity, often unaware of its origin. But every believer is called to be a restoration savior in their own right! Remember, sin binds us to fate, while righteousness opens the door to faith. In other words, Sin places us in the grip of fate, while righteousness brings faith to man. Engaging the faith of God is essential until the devil's fate is completely eradicated.
