Sajid and Avi sit down with Deputy Public Defender Perla Garcia. Perla spoke out about her experience coming to the US from Nicaragua when she was twelve with three younger brothers after the tragic deaths of Oscar Alberto Martinez and his 23-month-old daughter Angie Valeria. Perla describes her multiple attempts to get to the United States (she was twelve and had three younger siblings with her) and her path to public defense.
