Chris & Alex discuss the week that WAS.

Opening the show are thoughts from the WAS Archive, Episodes 13 & 14 when in 2020 we discussed a lot of ECW including The Rise & Fall Of ECW (2004), WWE ECW One Night Stand (2005 + 2006).

The unfortunate news broke this past Sunday that ECW Legend & Hardcore Hall Of Famer Sabu had passed away aged 61. The Suicidal, Homicidal, Genocidal, Death–Defying Maniac, SABU! Nephew of the WWE Hall of Famer The Sheik whom he was trained by, Sabu was know for his time in #FMW (1991-1994; 1997-2002), #ECW (1994-1995; 1996-2000), #NJPW (1995), #WCW (1995), #AJPW (1996-1997), #WWA (2002-2003), #TNA (2002-2006; 2010; 2019), #WWE's ECW (2006-2007); #AEW (2023) & #GCW (2024-2025).

Sabu won many accolades during his near 40 year career including but not limited to:

- 2× ECW World Heavyweight Champion

- 1× ECW World Television Champion

- 3× ECW World Tag Team Champion (w/ 1× Taz & 2× Rob Van Dam)

- 1x FTW Champion

- 2nd ECW Triple Crown Winner (& 1 of only 2 men to ever do so)

- 1× IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion

- Hardcore Hall Of Famer (Class of 2009)

- Indie Hall Of Famer (Class of 2024)

Also this week Vice aired Dark Side Of The Ring season 6 episode 8 titled "Blood, Fire and the Original Sheik" based on Sabu's uncle The Sheik. While the episode does focus heavily on the Sheik their are some stories not herd before from Sabu. It's merely an early coincidence this should air the week of Sabu's passing and feature him as a feature interviewee.
