I touch upon last week's tragic passing of longtime New York Rangers NY Post beat writer Larry Brooks, and the impact he left upon the Blueshirts community as well as the New York hockey community.
As a lifelong Islander fan and as someone who has shared the press box with several Isles beatwriters, I felt it was my obligation to touch upon how Brooksie shaped the way the Islanders are covered to this very day.
