The best history teachers had a way for making history come alive. The same can be said of historian and authors Sarah Burns. Her latest book, Cookesville U.S.A. takes place from Santa Fe, New Mexico to central California. Although fictional, many of the very colorful characters are ripped straight from history. And as we know, if we don’t learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it.
