A great cry arose among the Jews. They were being oppressed, not by their enemy but by their own people. Hearing of the injustice, Nehemiah did not hesitate to take action. Nehemiah displayed holy anger against their sin. He was not concerned with what was popular. He was a true leader, he stood for what was right.
