Wanderlust Festival 2021 I recorded Mariel Witmond-Bateman's talk about Dharma and what she has learned through the whole lockdown situation and 2020. VERY INSPIRING!

I then interviewed her afterwards where she spoke of her story and struggles in life and how she has pivoted and worked through everything she has overcome. More internal issues with finding her true identity and feeling lost within our world, needing permission to do things, climbing corporate ladder, upbringing and conditioning, overachieving and more!

I travelled to Denmark. The purpose was to explore, physically the country, the culture, its people, but also to explore myself, my mind, observe my thoughts outside of England.  I was hit with many things. In just 2 short weeks I feel I travelled for 2 months because I learned, saw, heard, felt so much.  Here are some thoughts I gathered...buckle up…  I think that life, intertwined with the universe is so incredibly beautiful, intricate and although seemingly unpredictable or volatile for those with thinking minds, it is actually very simple. 

What we we put out with thoughts or actions is reflected right back at us one way or another. One may call it Law of Attraction.  We humans have always asked the big questions of science and philosophy, but is there an answer we can comprehend?  Nature is the universe’s art, but it also follows patterns like maths.  

I feel it is a sort of cold world that we live in, despite global warming!  We find it hard to listen to our own thoughts without distraction. I also touch on how we are limiting our possibilities in this lifetime.  

Start a conversation, taking everything with a pinch of salt.

This is part 2 with Alexa Bureger who is a health specialist in fitness and wellness.

We discuss the most difficult challenge she has overcome in her inner healing and spirituality journey which was attachment. Healing work enables you to see things from more of an outside perspective and to contextualise your life and perceptions.

Often we want to hang onto old thought patterns and ways of being and in some cases it can be helpful, but sometimes it's not.

We dive into fast fashion and Alexa's perspective, which was incredibly factual and eye opening to hear. The pressures to keep up with trends, how fashion is a way to be creative and fast fashion exploits that.

Minimalism- having 'things' isn't an issue, it's only an issue when we use objects and materialistic things to numb whatever we are feeling...as a distraction from what is going on behind the scenes.

Her self care practice is meditation- actively practicing presence and not focusing on the past or future. Also the feeling of self judgements whenever we start meditating or yoga etc and being able to release that and go with it.
