Did you know that Nashville has more Kurdish residents than any other city in the U.S.? My guest today arrived in the US as a refugee, today she is the voice of Nashville’s Kurdish community. Kasar Abdullah is a community builder who is helping women find their voice. She is giving them tools to lift themselves up as professionals, as women, and as Americans. Kasar shares her story of how she moved from Kurdistan, to a refugee camp then to North Dakoka and finally to Nashville TN. Her has a vision for the area of town she calls Little Kurdistan and for her community. She will also share her story about how she met her husband at one of my favorite restaurants here in Nashville. Kasar is a strong women who is taking on her world and making huge changes.
