When tensions rise, choices have to be made and consequences become clearer. Tensions are rising in this election year over who is the most qualified in each race.

2,000 years ago, as tensions rose over Jesus, hypocrisy was exposed and consequences revealed. Religious leaders questioned Jesus harder over his qualifications. And he pushed back.

With stories, questions and a series of “woes,” Jesus challenges us to examine our hearts for what we really believe. He calls us away from superficial hypocrisy to full devotion.
