In this week’s episode, Tom and Larrissa talk about school trips—the chaotic, hilarious and occasionally traumatising rite of passage for every student and every teacher.

They reminisce about their own childhood outings, from Roman wax tablets and Drayton Manor to churning butter, meeting the Weasley twins and being dragged to some very questionable “educational” destinations. They compare the joy of being a kid on a coach with the sheer panic of being the grown-up in charge: risk assessments, permission slips, coach breakdowns and trying to shepherd 80 excitable students into a theatre without losing any (or their minds).

Naturally, things spiral into brilliant tangents—like bizarre school-trip stories from the internet (including a class watching a cat get spayed?!), kids thinking lambs are baby camels, and Comic Con memories featuring axe throwing and Japanese drumming.

They wrap up with their peaks and pits of the week, from divorced-men football commentary to the collective teacher exhaustion that hits right before Christmas.
