I made this as an exercise in character design, modeling, and animation. In 2016, PBS NC launched the new version of their mascot, Read-a-Roo, for their kids programming block, Rootle! including a contest to submit a video dancing to their new "Rootle Up!" theme song, open to "adults, kids, and even kangaroos". This is my version of their character. I submitted this to them after the contest was completed, since I didn't really want to dilute the award pool away from actual kids. They sent me a very nice letter about how much they enjoyed it!
Attempted to include a few ASL signs in my interpretation of the dance, since that seemed like a public edu-tainment sort of thing to do.
