As the Ritterhauser* trial lurches to its apparently inevitable conclusion, many are speculating that the Prosecutors have intentionally thrown the case, trying to get a mistrial. There’s a flaw in that theory, but it also appears to be a standard play in the Prosecutorial playbook.
