Our passage this week comes on the heels of the plague of the firstborn. Pharaoh and the Egyptians send God’s people out of Egypt with their clothing and their jewelry. God’s people are finally free and the Egyptians have been plundered.

After the exodus our attention will shift to the rituals that are reiterated and expanded upon.
