River of Silence, a film about missing and murdered Indigenous women, will make its Canadian premiere at the Vancouver International Women in Film Festival tonight, coinciding with International Women’s Day. River of Silence was written and produced by First Nations filmmaker Petie Chalifoux, inspired by her own family’s experience. Her partner, Michael Auger produced and directed the film.
