Should one conserve a river just because it contributes to the balance of the earth and human well-being and economic value? Or rather a river should be conserved as it has a right to free flow. Vjosa river National Park brings a lot of support for the latter claim. Would India think in this direction and limit binding rivers by the dam? Dam brings renewable energy but it can never renew the catchment, the forest, and the flora and fauna life that the river generates while it flows.
