Donatella Chiara is a non-binary visual artist, DJ/producer, and singer/songwriter born

and raised in Oaxaca, Mexico, now based in Milan. They aim to merge the festive

atmosphere of Mexican parties and clubs they experience with their friends with the local

subculture. Their style is playful, unexpected, and seeks to blend Latin American music

genres like Latin Core, Neoperreo, Tribal Guaracheo, and Electrocumbia with EDM, Trance,

Nightcore, Techno and many other fast BPM genres creating a set full of mixed colors,

rhythms, melodies, and feelings without any fear. De Oaxaca para el mundo.

Unlike her DJ performances, Donatella Chiara's musical project is rooted in ambient

music and sound collage, utilizing synthesizers and recordings from their daily life. Since

2018, they have performed in various venues in her hometown as part of the music

collective Musa Paradisiaca Records. Currently, she is releasing songs that she has

produced and performed, exploring genres such as alternative, bedroom pop, and a

fusion of dance and electronic styles. With a hint of emo melancholy, her compositions

are characterized by vocal manipulation and abundant reverb, evoking a feeling akin to

daydreaming.
