Sweet, Adventurous Western read

Gem Sivad is one of my favorite authors and her storytelling style is so enjoyable for me to read. I liked this little novella and I liked all the sexual tension in it. Just to be clear, there is no sex in this story, but there is plenty of tension throughout their interactions. What kept this from being 5 stars for me was the actions at the end seemed hurried. The novella was the right length, it was just not as full as it could have been. I would have liked to seem some of the events fleshed out a little more. Good story, though, and I've always had a soft spot for Edge and River since Six Sentence Sunday. :)

Sweet, Fun Read

This book was really cute, fun, and for me a quick read. Edge I just fell in love with him, "I'd rather peeping-toms didn't watch me bathe. It appears we all get disappointed sometimes." River I just loved her as well, "I'm out sketching today," she told him, waving at her satchel. "I brought you fresh bread." The two things had nothing to do with each other other. She was a nincompoop." This book was so light hearted. Amos he was a sweetheart as well, "hell, I know that. It's River I'm worried about. She looked at you over Sunday dinner like you're a dollop of ice cream she wants to have for dessert. Don't give into her. Don't let her have a lick until she buys the cow."

River's Edge

A sweet love story; not exceptional but short enough to keep me reading without dropping off to sleep. River Prescott is a lady rancher who likes to draw and has sold some of her drawings to help keep her ranch up and make improvements. She meets her neighbor, Edge Grayson, when he strips naked and bathes in a stream nearby where she is drawing. She is taken by his good looking body and artist (or voyeur)that she is,she proceeds to draws him. Edge has a sad past and lost puppy dog present that makes you glad River is attracted to him; she starts out by feeding him and proceeds to offer him money if he will pose for her. River is bossy but Edge is happy to overlook that characteristic just to have somebody feed him, not to mention the physical reaction he has every time he's around River.

EDGE AND RIVER, LOVED IT.... HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT

WOW, I loved this sweet story. It has allot of emotions for the reader, very well written. Great cast of characters too, I look forward to reading more in this series. River is an artist, who is sure she will never marry, she comes across her new neighbor as he is fixing a fence and spys on him most of the day as she draws him. Edge has a bad past as a gun slinger which he wants to leave in his past.
