While backpacking in the Maze District of Canyonlands National Park, a couple stumbles on a strange carved stone buried in the silt of a nearly dry creek.

From that point forward, something shifts between them and the landscape, an undercurrent of dread, dreams they can’t shake, and the growing fear that the stone chose them for a reason.
