Too Much
I stumbled on this book after watching Matt's sailing channel on YouTube. The background of Monaco is interesting as is the idea of a rich pre-jetset American who is so wealthy he has not a care in the world. However, the constant drinking of the main character will surely kill him soon as he gets drunk on an almost daily basis. I was kinda of expecting some more intrigue really. Nick's boat is never really described either. Aurelia is an interesting girl but way too young for Nick really. Warren is going to have a lot of angry father's with pregnant daughters chasing after him. He seems to like them underage and is a disgusting man. I feel like I over paid for the book and ebook. The reader of the ebook is an older man who reads the story with a choppy style.
I really enjoyed reading.
spellbind tale! I really enjoyed reading.
Beautiful writing, great read.
Fantastic first novel by Matt Raskie. His writing is rich, filled with beautiful descriptions of Monaco and the French coast, scenes of the novel. Nick, the main character, is enigmatic and framed well by Raskie's incisive and subtle word-smithing. Good stuff and definitely recommend.
