I have been doing school at home for the past year. I recently went back to school in person for the last nine weeks. 

In this episode, I describe my experience of going back to school after being at home for so long.

I was nervous the previous night about the new procedures and rules.

But my teachers and friends were very helpful in helping me adjust (some of my friends have been in school since August)

It feels so good to have interaction!


Here's some interesting things I noticed:

  • Temperature check each morning
  • Some of my friends look very different and I mean taller, bigger, just different
  • You can write on the desk with dry erase markers! (not really Covid19 related)
  • The teaching style is different now
  • I have fewer headaches - no more Zoom calls for 7 hrs straight
  • I can see my full teacher - no longer a body-less face
  • I have to wear a mask all day, took some time to get used to.
  • Laughing with friends feels great! I had forgotten how muh fun that is.
  • Two-people desks have dividers.

    • The couple of things I miss from 'school at home' are:

    • Snacking/eating during class :)
    • PE on the couch :)
    • My friends and teacher from my online class. We had fun there too!!
