The RJEC Medical Clinic promotes proactive health management among marginalized communities. By increasing the number of people who receive general assessments, blood pressure checks, and health education through quarterly health talk workshops and an annual health fair—all of which are intended to be family-friendly and empower the whole family—the RJEC Medical Clinic promotes general community health.

You will meet our first three students, Brayah Davis, Layla Fleming, and John Grasso, in this special episode. They helped create the Hands of Hope Banner, which was given to Whoopy Matewere, National Coordinator of The Eye of a Child, when she visited RJEC. The students explain what it means to them to be involved in this project and offer messages of hope to the children of Malawi, Africa. Don't miss this special episode of children giving hope and inspiration to other children. You will also learn how this program will grow to include storytelling, music and dance, cooking traditional dishes, instrumental learning, and eventually connecting the children to meet virtually.

In this podcast episode you will meet Jalisa Gross, LPN, the newest addition to RJEC's team. She was hired as a contracted nurse through a generous two-year grant from Three Arches Foundation and will be providing free screenings and assessments to victims of human trafficking and sexual assault. Jalisa will also be sharing information about the new mobile clinic services for street outreach, and how the RJEC Clinic will help educate the community on health and wellness through a variety of initiatives. We will start off by hosting our first quarterly Health Talk Workshop on March 11, 2023. These workshops will be led by a team of healthcare professionals and will cover topics such as nutrition, exercise, mental health, and disease prevention.
