If you’re new here, each week we take Sunday’s sermon and descend into what it looks like to live it out in our everyday lives as we share the love of Christ with those around us. Our prayer is that this podcast would encourage you and remind you of God’s goodness throughout your week.

This week, Haley is joined by Aaron LeDuc (Pastor) and Shane Rasch (Discipleship Director) as we finish up our series “Road to the Resurrection”. Aaron taught from Luke 24:1-12 on Easter Sunday, a sermon titled “The Empty Tomb”. In this episode, we also touch on the previous week’s sermon “Triumph and Lament”, as well as our teaching from Good Friday.

  • How do people tend to reshape Jesus into what they want Him to be, both inside and outside the Church? (“It’s possible to celebrate Jesus and still miss the peace He came to bring.”)
  • Why did the authors of the gospel accounts include seemingly random but specific details in their narrative? How do these details actually make the story of Jesus’ resurrection more believable?
  • What are the most common hang-ups people have about Jesus life, death or resurrection? How do we help someone work through those doubts in a healthy way?
  • How should the belief that the resurrection actually happened shape the way we talk about Jesus with people who don’t believe it? What do people usually think it means to follow Jesus… and what does it actually mean?
  • For someone who came to Mountain View the last few weeks, heard the sermons and feel curious, but not convinced- what would you want them to know? What’s a good next step to moving toward Jesus, even while you’re figuring everything out?
