Not once, not twice, but three times people left at the budding Roanoke Colony disappeared mysteriously. Was it attacks from the native populations or perhaps from their rival colonizers, the Spanish? What remained at Roanoke was practically nothing, save for a skeleton and some strange writing on trees. Between the privateering, senseless attacks against the native populations, and terrifying storms, the investigations into the lost colony were delayed decades...and were never really completed at the time. Now, historians have found next to no archaelogical evidence pointing to the end of the colony. So...what happened?
