The percentage of millennial evangelicals believing the Bible is NOT literally true is rising quickly from 44% in 2014 to 53% in 2018. Now, 51% of millennial evangelicals are pro-homosexual (up from 44% in 2014). But, 53% of evangelicals believe people are “basically good by nature.” The underlying assumption in the minds of most Americans is captured in the question, "Why would God throw a nice guy like me into hell?” That’s pretty much what the Pharisee thought. The Publican in the parable thought otherwise.
