Praise for the hosts of the Commonwealth Games.

While some previous Games have been dogged with stories of poor facilities and unfinished rooms for athletes, word out from the Gold Coast is - they've nailed it.

Chef de Mission Rob Waddell told Mike Hosking the Australians have done an outstanding job.

"The village has been done to a really high standard, it is compact so you certainly sense that there is a lot of people around you but they have done well with the space."
