We’re VERY excited to welcome back two extra special guests to the podcast, musicians, writers and producers who have been absolutely instrumental in the making of BRITPOP: Karl Brazil and Owen Parker.

Not only have Karl and Owen co-written nearly every track on the album with Robbie Williams, they also co-produced it alongside Martin Terefe, played on the recordings, and brought it to life on stage as part of Robbie’s live band. If you’re looking for the true inside track on his first non-Christmas album in nearly a decade, this is the interview.

We wrap up our BRITPOP deep dive with the Deluxe edition tracks: Selfish Disco, G.E.M.B., Comment Section, Fucking Amazing, 100% Beau and Desire. Joining us for the finale are Eliza from Australia and Vivien from Austria.

Vivien takes us through her journey with Robbie Williams, from seeing him live for the first time aged 15 on the Take The Crown tour, to the unforgettable moment she joined him on stage during the Heavy Entertainment Show tour. Since then, she’s followed him across Europe, and shares her take on both the BRITPOP tour and the Long 90s shows.

Eliza became a fan during a French exchange trip in the 90s, cemented when she spent time in the UK at the height of the Escapology era. She loves seeing Robbie live in Australia, so much so, she’s been trying to persuade us to make the journey down under ourselves!

In part 2 of our BRITPOP track-by-track deep dive, we welcome our first South American guests to Robbie Williams Rewind: Lorena from Argentina and Carolina from Chile (now living in Turkey).

Together, we unpack the final five tracks from the standard edition: Human, Morrissey, You, It’s OK Until The Drugs Stop Working, and Pocket Rocket – sharing reactions, standout moments, and favourite lyrics from each.

Lorena reflects on seeing Robbie live for the first time in 2006 and the 20-year wait that’s followed, including the heartbreak of his 2018 Argentina show being cancelled due to extreme weather. At the time of recording, she spoke for fans across the country in hoping the BRITPOP tour would finally bring him back… and now it has. Even better, she’s got her tickets.

Carolina takes us right into the heart of the chaos at the Mucho Lucho TV recording in 2004, recalling the moment Robbie Williams walked off set. She also shares her full-circle journey as a fan, from seeing him live in Chile in 2006, through a 17-year wait to finally catch a XXV Tour show in Turkey, and on to the BRITPOP and Long 90s tours. Along the way, she reflects on the contrast between LATAM and European crowds, and what makes each experience so unforgettable.

The wait is over — we’re diving into Robbie’s BRITPOP album with Part 1 of our track-by-track review. Joined by James from Scotland and Edite from Latvia, we break down the opening 6 songs of the album: Rocket, Spies, Pretty Face, Bite Your Tongue, Cocky and All My Life. 

From the promo campaign to release date drama, artwork to sales stats, we dig into what BRITPOP says about Robbie right now. We discuss what the songs mean to us and analyse each of the music videos. 

James shares how Robbie went from being the soundtrack to childhood car journeys to becoming a genuine passion, sparked by a deep dive ahead of the Isle of Wight Festival. Fast forward, and he’s now seen Robbie three times in the past year, bringing a fresh but fully invested fan perspective to the review.

Edite takes us on her journey from teenage fandom in Latvia to experiencing Robbie live for the first time on the BRITPOP tour. The show didn’t just meet expectations, it completely reignited her love for music. She’s since been back twice more… and even found herself singing part of Come Undone into Robbie’s mic at her second gig.

We relive the Long 90s gigs in full, sharing what happened before and after our backstage interview with Robbie Williams in Wolverhampton, and how we somehow found ourselves in the pre-show Disco and the Huddle!

We were incredibly lucky to attend Robbie’s Long 90’s gig at Dingwalls in Camden, where he performed both his debut solo album Life Thru A Lens and his brand-new record BRITPOP from start to finish! 

With phones banned inside the venue, we set out to capture some of the vibe by chatting with fans in the queue about which Life Thru A Lens songs they were most excited to hear, and which BRITPOP tracks have already become favourites.

It’s the podcast’s 4th birthday! And we’re marking the occasion with a very special guest – the incredible Elle (Lorraine) Cato, one of Robbie Williams’s amazing backing vocalists.

Elle’s career began when she was just 15, signing as a solo artist with Columbia Records while still at school. From there, she became a sought-after vocal tutor, which opened the door to singing backing vocals for boyband Blue. Since then, Elle has toured or recorded with a dazzling list of artists including Will Young, Ellie Goulding, Van Morrisson, Anastacia, Lisa Stansfield, Jamiroquai and many more. 

Elle first sang with Robbie at private gigs back in 2012, but she joined his tour for the first time during XXV in 2023. Now, alongside Denosh Bennett and Sara Jane Skeete, she’s a vital part of Robbie’s live sound, wowing audiences every night on the Britpop tour, especially during those unforgettable band intros!
