The “Old City” neighborhood of Philadelphia has been known as a hub for art, design, and culture for years, but there has been a recent innovative initiative to officially brand the neighborhood as “The Philadelphia Design District”. Robert Aibel, chatted with Matt Cabrey, Executive Director of Select Greater Philadelphia, a council of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, about how this idea came to be and describes the history of designers and makers in our region.
