Robert Hornsby is the Co-Founder & CFO for the American Homebuilders of West Africa. A firm that tackles the housing deficit in West Africa. Robert is very passionate about providing high quality affordable housing to members of the West Africa diaspora and to the regional West Africa market. He is a great human being and a true leader currently living in Philadelphia with his wife, his two daughters, and his two lovely dogs. 

Robert has more than two decades of experience in West Africa, where he served in the Peace Corps as a public health volunteer (1993-95). He has led financial strategy for American Homebuilders of West Africa since 2014, securing over $1.5M in startup financing in 2015, guiding the company to cash flow positive status by the first half of 2017 and over $1M in revenue in 2018, with average annual revenue growth over 100% since 2015. He contributes to the firm a blend of entrepreneurial experience, financial and strategic planning acumen, and knowledge of the macroeconomic and cultural landscape in West Africa.
